Rotanan Audio Visual and Dubai Studio City announced the start of the production of Keif Al Hal, the Gulf region's first wide release feature film.

The announcement was made at a Press conference hosted yesterday by Dubai Studio City. The conference was attended by accomplished director Izidore Musallam and the cast of the film.

'Keif Al Hal' is a social drama with light comedy that focuses on the issues facing Saudi society, especially the youth, their dreams and aspirations.

The pioneering cinematic venture, to be produced by Rotana Audio Visual, the leading entertainment company in the region, has a cast of leading Arab actors and actresses including; Hisham Abdulrahman, Turky Al-Yousif and acclaimed Saudi actor Khalid Sami.

The film marks the start of big-budget cinema production in the region. "This movie is very important for us given that it's the first Saudi movie and the first wide release Gulf movie," said Ayman Halawani, General Manager, Film Production, Rotana Audio Visual. "Our viewers are looking to us to provide something close to their culture and talks frankly about their issues," he added.
