Dar Al Ber Society, a Dubai-based semi government charity organisation that supports the  underprivileged section of the society, is collaborating with JYK, the leading fashion house in the UAE, to open The Friday Market in Rolla Street, Opposite Baqer Mohebi Supermarket, Bur Dubai. To be held every Friday starting from January 29, 2016, the market will bring several big brands under one roof to provide a unique shopping experience to the residents of UAE.

The primary aim of The Friday Market is to raise awareness about Dar Al Ber Society, as well as the various humanitarian activities they support and facilitate, among the residents of the UAE, especially the expatiate community. Besides, the market seeks to provide an opportunity for shoppers to purchase big brands at factory outlet prices.

?In an effort to promote entrepreneurship and ?support start-up ?companies, the market also offers space to small and medium ?businesses and individual vendors looking to showcase their wares. ?

Juhi Yasmeen Khan,  the founder of JYK Fashion House said: "At JYK, we believe that Dar Al Ber Society's exemplary work deserves maximum attention and support from the residents, which is the reason we have started this initiative. Traditionally, the concept of Friday market has been that of a flea market, with individuals selling their wares without paying much attention to quality. In bringing big brands together and individual vendors under one roof, with high quality and discounted prices, The Friday Market is providing an opportunity for both vendors and customers to support a noble cause merely by selling or buying the products sold. By visiting or participating in The Friday Market, people will be able to support families in distress, save lives of critically ill people, and help underprivileged children get education. "

Since its inception in 1978, Dar Al Ber Society, one of the first such initiatives in the UAE, has been actively supporting the underprivileged section of the society by paying for their basic requirements such as medical expenses, schools fees, house rent and food. They also supply relief materials to other countries that are suffering from natural calamities and other problems.

The Friday Market, an open air weekly marketplace, will be held every Friday from 29 January 2016 from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM till May 27, 2016 at Rolla Street in Bur Dubai, one of the prime shopping locations in the city. The market has already attracted prime retailers, hospitality outlets and service providers such as Carrera, Bossini, Mom & Me, Milton, Tim Hortons, Cool & Cool, Liali Jewellery, VLCC, Fitness First and Prime Medical Hospital to participate.

?Among the items sold will be garments, textile, accessories such as jewellery and bags, shoes, books, toys, electronics and household items. The Friday Market promises a different experience every week for the shopper, with variety in the businesses taking part, as well as the deals being offered on products. Additionally, there will be entertainment activities for children such as fun rides, games, face painting and magic shows. Stalls with live food stations and snacks are also on the offer, ensuring a wholesome fun experience for the entire family.

Companies can participate in the market as a vendors for which we are offering stalls for rent to display & sell products/services, and stalls for promotions like sampling, brand awareness, product launch, etc.
