Nargis to go international

We hear that Nargis Fakhri will be doing a Hollywood film in collaboration with her rumoured boyfriend Uday Chopra. Yash Raj films have ventured into Hollywood withGrace Of Monaco. According to reports they are co producing another international project that will be helmed by Uday Chopra. Nargis has been signed on for this film as per reports. Nargis so far has only one movie in her handMain Tera Herowith Varun Dhawan. Though she insists that she is taking things slow in Bollywood - she has only two releasesRockstar(2011) andMadras Cafe(2013) so far - we know offers are not really pouring her way. The shooting for this international film will begin this year. Nargis has always denied being in a relationship with Uday Chopra but their recent beach holiday pictures tell a different story. Perks of having a producer boyfriend, we guess.

Trouble in Bachchan paradise?

There are reports claiming all in not well in the Bachchan family. Recently at a party hosted by an industrialist, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was allegedly seen maintaining distance from her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan. It is also being said that though Aishwarya and Abhishek tried to maintain a picture of a couple in love, once away from the crowd they were spotted having some arguments. As much as we would like to dismiss this as an insignificant tiff, reports are gaining ground that the differences within the family are only getting bigger with time.

Farhan clears the air

News reports that Farhan Akhtar will be acting alongside SRK have been doing the rounds of late. But when questioned during his recent visit to Dubai, the actor denied it, saying he does not have any idea where these rumours are coming from but the truth is that he is just producing a film calledRaeesthat will be directed by Rahul Dholakia and will have Shah Rukh Khan in the main lead. Our sources insist that Sonam Kapoor has been signed on to make a special appearance in the movie opposite Shah Rukh.

Small fish in a big pond

Highwayopened to mixed reviews last week. While looking at the promotional pattern of the film, many were shocked to see Ranbir Kapoor replacing Randeep Hooda in the days preceding the movie’s release. It was Imtiaz Ali and Alia Bhatt who were seen out and about during the promotional rounds - surprisngly the talented Hooda was present only for a few events. It is also surprising to see many in Bollywood praise Alia on social networking sites, completely ignoring the acting skills of Randeep. Well, we think Randeep was fantastic as well in the movie.

Heroine in trouble?

We hear that many are already discussing the end of this diva. The last two years have been really tough for this high maintenance actress whose films are no more working with the masses.

Starting from 2012, her films have failed to garner any response at the box office. Recently she had to exit from a big project for untold reasons. Her other big project has been on the back burner for a long time. Right now the only project that she has in hand is a movie with another star director. Our sources insist that she got this project because she personally made a call to the lead actor who is a close family friend.

With only one film in hand, she has taken solace in endorsing as many products as she can. We wonder if it’s a marriage jinx or too many bad movie choices that is keeping filmmakers away from this girl who not so long ago ruled the box office.
