Winter to see significant demand from passengers, coinciding with major events hosted by the country, such as the Formula 1 and COP28
Recently, they even made public news when caught by industry people on what they thought might be a very private date.
It was a weekend night at the very in China House, the hot and happening restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Diners were agog when Bipasha and Saif walked in holding hands! Obviously, they had a reservation for the evening, in the very private VIP area at the top level.
But before they could proceed towards their evening rendezvous, they had to contend with a film bunch headed by Karan Johar. China House is his favourite haunt these days and he was there with a whole lot of buddies —Riteish Deshmukh, a couple of top models and Dino Morea —feasting on Chinese food. Both Bipasha and Saif appeared embarrassed at the grinning bunch of guys and had no choice but to stop and say hello.
Now ever since he’s been doing ‘Koffee with Karan’ there’s a definite element of journalist in Karan too! He appeared delighted at seeing them together and could not resist going up to them to say, “I knew it!” He said he had had his doubts when he earlier observed them at IIFA at Yorkshire. And then, he asked them to join their table for a while. Saif and Bipasha politely sat down for a while to make small talk.
Soon enough though, they excused themselves and made their way to their own private corner at the upper level. Eyewitnesses insist that they shared a very cozy and romantic dinner thereafter.
Industry wise guys though, are concerned about this sudden togetherness which is now going public. A friend of Bipasha muses, “She is not the kind of woman to just get on to another guy when she has just come out of a very painful relationship with John. We friends know just how hurt she is. This whole thing with Saif seems more on the rebound. For her sake, we hope it works out for her. He seems like a nice guy but he does come with a whole lot of baggage too…”
The baggage being talked about in this case is his shock over Rosa and their relationship which abruptly ended when he discovered she wanted to hit Bollywood via him! Probably the intelligent Bipasha is more his kind of woman, and besides, she’s already established enough in Bollywood.
But obviously Rosa has intentions of still maintaining ties with Saif in some way. Only last weekend, she was spotted at the ice-cream parlour Amore, at the suburban Infiniti Mall with Amrita and Saif’s daughter Sara. Apparently the two were enjoying a round of ice-cream, with Rosa even feeding Sara and later tenderly wiping her hands with a napkin. Our source says that they looked like they were having a good time together.
We assume she couldn’t have taken Sara out without Saif’s permission. Well, it doesn’t appear as if he’s interested to revive the relationship with Rosa though. Bipasha Basu is too hot to resist right now.
Ronaldo's tryst with Bips
BIPASHA BEHAVED like an awe-struck teenager when she met Portugal soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo in Lisbon.
It doesn't get better than this. Bipasha Basu, who co-hosted the grand event at Lisbon last Saturday to reveal the new Seven Wonders of the World, is back in Mumbai. And it is not so much the Taj Mahal she wants to talk about despite the monument making to the new list by popular demand —as much as Portugal soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo! The Bong bombshell was the toast of the event in Lisbon. She had the experience of a lifetime. While the Manchester United striker played court to her all evening, Oscar winners Sir Ben Kingsley and Hillary Swank too came under Bipasha's charms, and by the time she left for home —the Bollywood actress had a new set of swish international celeb friends. Bipasha tells the story: 'I was proud to announce Taj in the new list of Seven Wonders of the World. Everyone there were such easy-going and warm people. We struck great friendships and I want to cherish this for a lifetime.' Sir Ben compared her to Hollywood's original sex goddess, the Italian diva Sophia Loren. And agreeing with him was the former Beatle, Sir Paul Mc-Cartney , who also found an uncanny resemblance to Loren in Bipasha.
'Sir Ben was very helpful,' says Bipasha. If tomorrow she makes it big in Hollywood, she'll know whom to thank. 'Sir Ben guided me how to get there. I already have a few meetings lined up. Let's see, if some good role comes my way, I shall think about it. I will certainly not do any tidbit roles just to get into Hollywood,' she firmly says.
Hillary Swank, Bips found to be very unassuming, sweet and warm. 'When my luggage didn't arrive, Hillary lent me an outfit for the evening. But when my bags came and Hillary saw my dress, she complimented me saying this outfit suited me better and that I looked really beautiful,' reveals Bipasha.
And then there was Ronaldo, God's gift to women, with whom Bipasha behaved like an awe-struck teenager. 'Meeting him was a dream come true. I am a big fan of his. And I was totally floored by the way he kept showering me with praises all the time. It was very flattering. After the event, we went out clubbing, and that was simply fantastic,' recalls Bips.
'Ronaldo said he loved Bollywood films. But I laughed, thinking he was just being sweet. However, he surprised me by taking out his cellphone and playing the song Tujhse Naraaz Nahi Zindagi from Masoom. He loves this song,' laughs Bips. 'He then introduced me to his mother, who is a big Bollywood fan, and she swore that Ronaldo was a Bollywood deewana!'
