Bam promises to work hard

His career idol is comedian Bayani Agbayani. “I was so thrilled when I met him on Magandang Umaga, Pilipinas during my first guesting. He's so good. He's a natural comedian,” says Charles Jerome 'Bam' Romana.

Bam is the younger brother of actress Dimples Romana. He used to be known as that, but these days, his fame has eclipsed his sister's, especially after being introduced to television audiences as one of the teen housemates on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. Bam was evicted from the house and didn't make it to the final four, but no matter—he now has a one-year build-up contract with Star Magic (formerly the ABS-CBN Talent Center) and is working toward building a career as a comedian.

He finds it funny that before, most of the people who would call or come knocking on their door would look for his sister. These days, they come looking for him.

Currently a sophomore nursing student at AMA-Makati, Bam knows how competitive showbiz is. Which is why he promises to work hard. He also doesn't want to be choosy with assignments. He knows that at this point, he can't afford to do that. Right now, his goal is to try as many things as he can, and grab whatever offers come his way because he is trying to gain as much experience as he can. “So whatever they give me, go!” he says with a laugh.

Although if you ask him, he'd also like to try his hand at hosting a late-night talk show. “I love to talk and entertain people,” says Bam. “That's why I joined Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition in the first place.”
