AVRIL LAVIGNE IS engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, reveals her representative.
The couple maintained a low profile while dating each other. And now, after six months of courtship, the Canadian rockers are engaged to be married.
Kroeger proposed to Lavigne on August 8 with a 14-carat diamond ring.
“He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited,” people.com quoted a source as saying.
It will be Kroeger’s first trip down the aisle, and the second marriage for Lavigne, who split from Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley in 2009.
She had also dated Brody Jenner.
