He has kept away from controversies, fights and back- biting. He is not part of any camp, is a man of a few words and knows he needs to concentrate on his career to see it zoom past the rest. His simple philosophy is to entertain the audience and become Numero Uno without shouting it from the rooftops.

Like Shah Rukh he is an ace businessman and has proved it. He not only demands a huge amount for his films but also takes a percentage from the distribution profits. As most of his films are hits he makes a whopping amount. Like Aamir, he is experimental with his roles and his looks. But, he does not like to restrict himself to one or two films a year. He is versatile and takes an interest in every aspect of his film’s making. Vipul Shah admires him for having a good eye for detail and respects his inputs.

Next year will see Akshay Kumar in a varied number of films. He likes to innovate. He enjoyed lending his voice to Percept Picture Company’s Jumbo for Rs9 crores. He plays a cook in Nikhil Advani’s  action adventure comedy, Chandni Chowk to China. He has Sajid Nadiadwala’s  Kambhakth Ishq, where he shares screen space with Hollywood biggies like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards. He is one of the first stars from Bollywood to shoot for a promotional video for Singh is Kinng with rapper Snoop Dogg. He also has Nagesh Kukunoor’s 8x10 and Ashtavinayak Pictures Blue slated for release next year. He has had a series of hits in a row like Welcome, Namastey London and Singh Is Kinng. He manages to get the best lookers to act opposite him like Katrina, Deepika and Lara. He is also the only actor who indulges in the most death defying stunts, adding that much more reality to his roles.

He was also the successful host of Fear Factor- Khatron ke Khiladi on television. He was reportedly paid an enormous sum of Rs1.5 crore per episode. He is also being approached for the second season of the show. Rumour mills doing the rounds notify that he has demanded Rs2.5 crore for this season.

Many companies are also keen on signing Akki for endorsements. But, he believes in endorsing quality products. He is the brand ambassador for Levi Strauss Jeans in India and has also revived his contact with Thumps Up.

At the pace at which Akshay is going, there is no stopping him. With a rocking professional life, this fit actor can also boast of a happy family life. With stylish actor turned interior designer wife Twinkle and son Aarav, this picture looks almost perfect.
