Aamir Khan, who has done a film about cricket and is now working on a movie on wrestling, hopes to feature in a project on chess.

The 50-year-old was present at the inauguration of the third edition of the Maharashtra Chess League in Mumbai on Friday.

“I would love to do a film on the game of chess if a script comes to me. But I don’t work towards scripts. I like the scripts to come to me organically. Let’s see if something comes up.”

Aamir added: “I play on a very amateur level but I love this game a lot.”

He finds his Dhoom: 3 co-star Katrina Kaif to be a good competitor. “She is a good chess player. I almost lost when I played with her.”

Meanwhile, Aamir, who keeps losing and gaining weight for his films, says it worries his mother and wife.

The actor has now gained weight for Dangal, in which he plays a wrestler.

“I am 95 kg right now and that’s enough for the character. My breathing has changed... when I tie my laces, my stomach comes in between. After 20 seconds, I have to (take a long) breath,” said Aamir. “My mom and my wife are very worried about my health as they feel I am playing with my health. Even I feel the same,” he added.

“By December (2015), we will finish the shooting, and in the next five months I will lose weight and then have one more schedule in the month of June, where my character is young. When the film comes to an end, I will be back to the PK look,” he said.
