Organised by Seatrade Middle East, the two-day event brings together leading international industry experts to tackle key issues surrounding waterfront development worldwide.

"Waterfront 2005 Dubai, with its unrivalled speaker line up, will not only stimulate and challenge delegates but also address controversial issues surrounding coastline development, one of the drivers of the present regional construction boom, "said Chris Hayman, managing director, Seatrade.

"Some topics will be discussed for the first time regionally at this conference. We anticipate some industry-leading initiatives to come out of these discussions."

Waterfront 2005 Dubai will probe issues such as investment risks, the challenges of land reclamation and dredging, environmental impact, water and land transportation links, and infrastructure. It will begin with an overview of the global waterfront development picture.

"The first session will deliver an analysis of the state of regional waterfront development and what is behind its impressive growth. It will also provide cutting edge examples of state-of-the-art waterfront designs, examining how waterfronts can and should be integrated into an existing city to contribute vitality and provide physical and visual benefits for locals and tourists alike," he said.
