The Middle East's first boutique island will be called V...Greece on The World, as it would be built on the island of 'Greece' in Nakheel's man-made archipelago of 300 islands four kilometres off the coast of Dubai.

Baron de Meise, who also owns the five-star hotel Le Plaza, in Brussels, described The World as "one-of-a-kind destination."

"Combining this unique opportunity with a business model that will attract high net worth investors looking for something different, something out of the ordinary, is in my opinion a winning formula," he added.
