Christopher Dixon, managing partner of Taylor Wessing (Middle East) LLP, said the law firm also has offices in Cambridge (UK), Berlin, Brussels, Dusseldork, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Paris and Shanghai.
Its clients include over 40 firms in Fortune 500 and FTSE 250 companies, major companies, financial institutions and high net worth individuals and families. It has over 260 partners, 740 lawyers and 1,300 employees.
Dixon, who was with partner Osama Hassan at Key and Dixon, said that Taylor Wessing is a full service firm providing a full range of legal services in corporate, finance, real estate, intellectual property, employment and dispute resolution.
The new office aims to provide these services at the local and international level in a way that would establish long-term relationships with the clients.
"Taylor Wessing has widely acknowledged strengths in industries rich in intellectual property and our experience and expertise in advising clients in technology, life sciences and media is recognised in the legal directories," said a statement issued during the launch.
Apart from Hassan, the other Taylor Wessing partners in Dubai include Jerry Parks and Pier Terblanche.
Key and Dixon was Taylor Wessing's associate here for over 10 years before the merging.
