UAE to participate in Opec meeting

ABU DHABI Minister of Petroleum and Mineral resources, Obeid bin Saif Al Nasiri, said that the UAE would participate in the proposed ministerial meeting of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec), to be held in Vienna on April 24.

In a statement to Wam, Al Nasiri said that the UAE would actively take part in the meeting should the proposal get the approval of majority of Opec member states. He said the meeting was a consultation one, aimed at discussing the latest development on the international oil market.
