UAE: Pay for petrol with cryptocurrency soon as Emarat announces Mena first-of-its-kind service

Do you pay by cash at fuel stations? Or are you constantly searching your wallet for your card?

Now, in a first in Mena, Emarat will introduce cryptocurrency payment services at fuel stations. In phase one, the service will be activated at 10 stations, with gradual expansion across the Emarat network.

This comes as part of a strategic partnership with Crypto.com. The petroleum corporation is also launching the Emarat x Crypto.com Service Station on Al Wasl Road in Dubai.

This is a location under 'Project Landmark', the world’s first-of-its-kind. Introduced by Emarat in 2024, the project enables companies and brands to secure naming rights for Emarat's service stations, located in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
