The Plastics Technology Training and Development Centre (PTTDC), the first of its kind in the Gulf and which will come up in the Batinah region town of Sohar, is being established by the Oman and Emirates Investment Holding Company (O&E) with technical assistance from the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (Cipet) of India.

Although primarily aimed at Omanis, the proposed centre will also admit national and expatriate students from all over the region.
