Ahmed Khalil, Toshiba’s General Manager, said long-lasting relationships with the customer in new and existing markets will ultimately lead Toshiba to the forefront of third generation computing where notebooks are simply a part of everyday life.

“With Gitex coming up in October, Toshiba’s presence reinforces its position as a technology leader. The two-storey stand located in Hall 3 commands attention with interactive displays; a dedicated “new innovation" area highlighting future technologies and design studies; a ‘technology museum’ featuring the history of notebooks starting from 1985; a consumer area showcasing gaming, digital convergence and multimedia scenarios, and a business section demonstrating Toshiba's portability and value notebooks for large accounts and SMB," he said.

“Our business objectives remain to growing both revenue and volume ahead of the market with a clear emphasis on profitability," said Khalil. He said the company would reach substantial growth targets in the Middle East while breaking ground in new African territories.
