TNT Express sponsors Denby at UAE GT event

Speed fanatic, Paul Denby has a strong racing record having previously competed in several 24-hour karting events, Class III offshore power boat races, cross country motorbike rallies and most recently becoming the 2009/10 Total UAE GTB Champion. Paul Denby will be driving a Porsche 996 GT3 race car that competed all over the world in GT and endurance racing, and it is currently being prepared and maintained for the season by Porsche specialist and race team Alex Renner Motors.

In addition to financial support, TNT Express UAE has helped fly parts around the world to make sure that the team gets the right items, at the right time.

Paul Denby was happy with the support from TNT. “The car is a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup car, this factory-built race car was chosen for the very competitive GTC class race. The car will be prepared and maintained for the season by Porsche specialist and race team Alex Renner Motors, who last year ran a team of 6 Porsches in the UAE. I am also grateful to TNT Express for their support so far,” he said.

The UAE GT Championship is an eight-race series with five rounds at Dubai Autodrome and three rounds at the YAS Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Each round consists of practice, qualifier and a 60-minute race; the first event in the 2010/11 calendar will be on Sunday night at Dubai Autodrome.
