The One signs deal with GAC for storage
DUBAI The One has announced that it has signed a contract with GAC Logistics to be its storage provider in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ).
The contract provides support for The One while they build their own Regional Distribution Centre in JAFZ, a shift from their present Al Quoz Local Distribution Centre. Jim Preston, Logistics Manager, The One, said: "GAC Logistics was the natural choice. Not only does GAC Logistics specialise in warehousing, storage and distribution throughout the AGCC which fit our requirements exactly, but it has extensive experience of project cargo operations combining worldwide coverage and international expertise with thorough local knowledge." The One has the use of GAC Logistics' Free Zone warehousing facility which allows indefinite stock holding - an added benefit to The One which their rapid regional growth where the consolidation of loads to the AGCC is provided by GAC Logistics. "Our aim is to manage the supply chain and reduce the logistics cost, enabling us to pass this saving on to the customers," he said.
