Samsung appears to be gearing up for a major second half of 2026, with its upcoming flagship tablets and smartwatches now spotted in the GSMA IMEI database, according to a report in SmartPrix. As has often been the case, certification listings and leaked records are offering an early look at the company’s future product roadmap, confirming the existence of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S12+, Galaxy Watch9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series
One of the biggest takeaways from the IMEI database listings is a notable change in Samsung’s tablet strategy. Unlike the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup, which included a standard and an Ultra model, there appears to be no regular Galaxy Tab S12 this time around. Instead, Samsung is reportedly bringing back the “Plus” variant while keeping the Ultra as its top-tier offering.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra 5G, listed with the model number SM-X946B, is expected to remain Samsung’s most powerful Android tablet, aimed at professionals and power users. The return of the Galaxy Tab S12+ suggests Samsung is refining its lineup to focus on premium segments rather than entry-level flagship tablets.
Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2
Samsung’s wearable lineup is also getting a refresh. The Galaxy Watch9, spotted with the model number SM-L345U, is expected to introduce a refined design, improved battery life, and enhanced health and fitness tracking features.
Meanwhile, the rugged Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 (SM-L716U) continues Samsung’s push into adventure-focused wearables. Building on the first Ultra model, the new version is likely to feature tougher materials, more accurate GPS tracking, and dedicated modes for outdoor and extreme sports enthusiasts.
Possible launch timeline
Based on Samsung’s typical launch patterns, devices usually appear in the IMEI database around six to seven months before release. This points to a likely unveiling of the Galaxy Tab S12 series, Galaxy Watch9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at a Galaxy Unpacked event in August or September 2026, possibly alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8.
