Apple has introduced updated MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models in the UAE, powered by its latest M5-series chips and offering significantly larger base storage, all while keeping starting prices largely unchanged.
The new lineup includes the MacBook Air with the M5 chip, alongside higher-end MacBook Pro models featuring M5 Pro and M5 Max processors.
Pre-orders begin March 4, with devices arriving in Apple Store locations and authorised resellers across the UAE starting March 11.
MacBook Air M5: More power, double the storage
The 13-inch MacBook Air powered by Apple’s M5 chip starts at Dh4,599 and now includes 512GB of storage as standard, double the base storage offered in the previous generation.

Apple says the M5 chip delivers notable performance improvements and stronger on-device AI capabilities. Since transitioning from Intel processors in 2020, Apple’s in-house M-series silicon has helped the company stand out with gains in battery life and efficiency compared to many Windows-based rivals.
With higher storage at entry level, the MacBook Air becomes a more compelling option for students, creatives and professionals handling larger files, photos and AI-driven workflows.
MacBook Pro M5 Pro and M5 Max: 1TB now standard
Apple has also refreshed its 14-inch MacBook Pro lineup.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 now comes standard with 1TB of storage and starts at Dh7,199. Models powered by the M5 Pro chip start at Dh9,299, while the top-tier 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max begins at Dh15,499. The devices are available in Space Black and Silver finishes.

By doubling storage on many base configurations, from 512GB to 1TB, Apple is aligning its pricing strategy with rising component costs, particularly amid global memory chip shortages affecting DRAM and NAND flash supply.
The MacBook updates follow closely after the launch of the iPhone 17e earlier this week, priced at Dh2,599 in the UAE, signalling a busy season of product refreshes for Apple.
