iPhone 17e launched in the UAE: Features, availability, and everything you need to know
Apple’s most affordable iPhone 17 model comes with faster performance, an advanced camera system, double the starting storage at 256GB, and other upgrades

Apple on Monday evening officially unveiled the iPhone 17e, a more affordable addition to the iPhone 17 lineup that brings flagship-level performance, camera upgrades and enhanced durability at a competitive price point in the UAE.
At the heart of the iPhone 17e is Apple’s latest-generation A19 chip, built on advanced 3-nanometer technology. The 6-core CPU is up to 2x faster than iPhone 11, while the 4-core GPU supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing for console-level gaming. A 16-core Neural Engine enhances Apple Intelligence features and accelerates generative AI tasks.

The device also introduces C1X, Apple’s newest in-house cellular modem. It is up to 2x faster than the C1 in iPhone 16e and uses 30 percent less energy than the modem in iPhone 16 Pro, contributing to improved all-day battery life.
Camera and display
The iPhone 17e features a 48MP Fusion camera capable of capturing detailed 24MP and 48MP images. It enables an optical-quality 2x Telephoto, effectively offering two cameras in one.
Users can shoot next-generation portraits with improved depth and bokeh, while Night mode enhances low-light photography. Video recording supports 4K Dolby Vision up to 60fps, along with Spatial Audio and advanced Audio Mix tools for clearer sound.
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display reaches up to 1200 nits peak HDR brightness. Ceramic Shield 2 offers 3x better scratch resistance and reduced glare, while the aerospace-grade aluminum body carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Face ID, the Action button and MagSafe support add to the premium experience, with wireless charging up to 15W via MagSafe and Qi2.
iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence
Running iOS 26, the iPhone 17e introduces Apple Intelligence features including Live Translation, Call Screening and enhanced visual intelligence.
Pricing and availability in the UAE
Starting at Dh2,599 for 256GB — double the entry storage of the previous generation at the same price — the iPhone 17e aims to deliver more value without compromising on core performance. Available in black, white and soft pink with a matte finish, pre-orders begin March 4, with availability starting March 11 in the UAE.
