AirPods Max 2 launched: Price in UAE, features, release date and everything new
More than five years after debut, the AirPods Max, now in its second generation, is back with enhanced sound quality and creator-focused tools

Apple on Monday unveiled the new AirPods Max 2, bringing significant upgrades to its premium over-ear headphones lineup. Powered by the H2 chip, the latest version introduces improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), enhanced audio quality, and a suite of intelligent features.
The headphones will be available to order in the UAE starting March 25, with retail availability beginning early next month.

One of the biggest upgrades in AirPods Max 2 is its improved ANC performance. Thanks to the H2 chip and new computational audio algorithms, Apple claims the headphones deliver up to 1.5x more effective noise cancellation compared to the previous generation. This means better suppression of ambient sounds.
Transparency mode has also been refined, Apple says, offering more natural environmental awareness through improved digital signal processing.
Apple has upgraded the listening experience with a new high dynamic range amplifier, resulting in cleaner, richer, and more detailed audio.
Spatial Audio also gets a boost, with better instrument separation, more accurate bass response, and natural mids and highs.For audiophiles and creators, AirPods Max 2 support 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio when connected via USB-C. This enables ultra-low latency audio, making them suitable for music production, video editing, and gaming.
New intelligent features
The H2 chip introduces a range of smart features that adapt to users and their environments:
Adaptive Audio: Automatically balances ANC and Transparency
Conversation Awareness: Lowers volume when you start speaking
Voice Isolation: Prioritises your voice during calls
Personalised Volume: Learns and adjusts to listening preferences
Loud Sound Reduction: Minimises exposure to harsh environmental noise
A standout addition is Live Translation, powered by Apple Intelligence, which helps users communicate across languages in real time during conversations.
Meanwhile, Siri interactions are now more intuitive — users can respond to prompts by simply nodding or shaking their head.
Built for creators
Apple is also positioning AirPods Max 2 as a tool for creators. The headphones now support studio-quality audio recording, making them useful for podcasters, interviewers, and musicians.
Additionally, a new camera remote feature allows users to control their iPhone or iPad camera using the Digital Crown — enabling remote photo capture and video recording.
AirPods Max 2 UAE price and availability
Customers in the UAE can order AirPods Max 2 via Apple’s online store and the Apple Store app from March 25. The headphones are priced starting at Dh2,099 and will be available in five colours: midnight, starlight, orange, purple, and blue.
