The programme was launched on Thursday at a ceremony in the Capital with the council signing agreements with four Abu Dhabi-based national banks — Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi National Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Hilal Bank.
The programme “Dirasati” is being implemented in co-operation with Emirates Institute for Financial and Banking Studies (EIFBS), which will be providing training to the
young emiratis.
The programme will register nationals who will be offered immediate employment contracts. Monthly financial incentives and rewards for those with outstanding academic performance scoring 90 per cent and above.
The students will join the banking sector upon graduation with a starting salary of Dh12,000.
Banks will offer a practical training for graduates with an option to choose the department they wish to join in line with banks’ needs. Tawteen will nominate a number of male and female nationals registered in its data base provided that their high school score is above 60 per cent. — hassb@khaleejtimes.com
