Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, director-general, Tanmia, and Abdulrahman Ghanim Al Mutaiwee, director-general, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed the MoU.
Al Mutaiwee, said: “The campaign will update students and job seekers about the latest developments in the UAE labour market. Tanmia and DCCI will provide job seekers on-job training, to increase their chances of gaining employment. The MoU comes amidst several other pro-active activities being undertaken by Tanmia in training and equipping the job seekers. Tanmia and DCCI will co-operate in several key areas such as providing employment services by organising a series of meetings between the employers and job seekers.This partnership reflects our success in developing effective strategies to find suitable jobs for UAE nationals in different commercial sectors and enhance their presence in the labour market. We have developed extensive resources for screening candidates and identifying the type of training required in order to increase their productivity at the work place."
The MoU with DCCI provides us another opportunity to work for the benefit of hundreds of UAE National jobseekers. DCCI is considered as one of the most important government department that helps generate employment opportunity in various sectors. I would like to thank the members of DCCI for their pro-active approach and support to Tanmia, which too provides on-job training programmes, thus increasing the number of job opportunities for UAE nationals, added Dr Al Awar.
Stating importance of Emiratisation, Al Mutaiwee further said: “We hope that this MoU will facilitate the entry of nationals into the private sector, thanks to the experience Tanmia holds in the development of human resources and employment generation among UAE nationals. We will provide specialised mechanism to streamline communication between the employers and Tanmia to make available to UAE nationals the best possible jobs, thus contributing towards Emiratisation. DCCI also plans to provide all the necessary help and support to the employed UAE nationals, especially those who own small-scale business. Along with Tanmia, DCCI plans to create suitable job vacancies for UAE nationals in various technical fields. In addition, both sides have also planned to develop an ambitious work plan towards proper implementation of the MoU within a specified time frame."
