Swedish Deputy Minister for trade to visit the UAE

DUBAI— Lars-Olof Lindgren, the Swedish deputy minister for trade will visit the UAE on April 1 to discuss the possibilities to create stronger economic ties between Sweden and the UAE. Sweden's trade with the UAE is growing and the UAE is at present the third largest trading partner of Sweden in the Middle East as well as a major hub for its trade with other countries in the region.

The minister will inaugurate a meeting organised by the Swedish Business Council in Dubai and Swedish Embassies in the Gulf region aiming to bring more Swedish companies and business to the region. More than 40 representatives of Swedish companies will participate in this event, which will be held in Dubai on April 1 and 2. At present, more than 120 Swedish companies are active in the UAE, which includes Ericsson, Ikea, Saab and Volvo.
