The heavy rains hit regions of Morocco that have been suffering from drought for at least six years
The agreement — signed by Saleh A. Lootah for SouqExtra and Engineer Mohammed Saif Alafkham, Director of Fujairah Municipality — calls for the development of a commercial land in Merbih City that will see the innovative retail concept set up its first community supercentre in the eastern side of the UAE, and provide residents in the area a one-stop shop for their day-to-day needs.
“Our expansion plan will continue, notwithstanding current market conditions. We are very optimistic about the retail market in the UAE, and the growing acceptance for SouqExtra’s unique proposition is proof that the concept has sufficient merits to fly,” said Lootah.
He emphasised, “As with anything we do, we will constantly monitor the market to ensure we make the right moves as we execute our expansion strategy.”
As a result SouqExtra has created positive ripples in the market, signing strategic deals across the UAE to set up a strong network of community supercentres in the country; as well as forging partnerships to boost its retail andservice offers.
