Crowd control measures have been set up at Apple stores, as staff say walk-ins will not be entertained this year
The annual conference is organised jointly by the Dubai Quality Award Secretariat at the Department of Economic Development (DED) and the Dubai Quality Group (DQG).
More than 450 people from the business community attended the event, where the winners of the Dubai Quality Award (DQA) 2005 shared their best practices in quality management with potential applicants of the DQA.
Winners of the Dubai Quality Award ought to be congratulated not only for their achievements, but also for their part in hosting such an impressive gathering, all in the spirit of learning and sharing good practices, Shaikh Ahmed said during his opening speech.
The Dubai Quality Award has been an excellent vehicle for companies on their journey for excellence and the Dubai Quality Group has been instrumental in helping organisations to embrace the latest in the quality tools and techniques and applying them throughout the organisation, he said.
Accordingly, the annual 'Share Best Practice' conference has established itself as a premium event on Dubai's business calendar and is eagerly awaited by organisations that are striving to position themselves among the leaders in their fields.
"I am sure today's conference will prove to be the next step in this journey to excellence and will provide delegates with the opportunity to benchmark their management techniques against established best practices," Shaikh Ahmed said.
