Henrick. Rayala of Nokia Middle East and North Africa, signed the contract on behalf of his company.

Ahmed Nasir Al Raysi, Director of the Central Operations in Abu Dhabi Police, said that the UAE would be the first country in the Gulf region to carry out the project, adding that it would start during the few coming months.

He said that the second generation of the Tetra project, which is a state of the art digital audio-visual security communication system, would be ready during the summit of GCC leaders in Abu Dhabi and would be used by Abu Dhabi Police, the Armed Forces and other governmental agencies.
