Shaikh Mohammed Presents Dubai Quality Awards to 19 Organisations

DUBAI - His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday, presented the Dubai Quality Award to 19 organisations representing various economic sectors.

Five organisations were also honoured with the Dubai Human Development Award and the Dubai Human Development Appreciation Programme for their commitment to empowering UAE citizens at 
the workplace.

Winners of the 2008 Dubai Quality Award were chosen in two categories — the Dubai Quality Award itself and the Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme. Dubai Quality Award winners were Sharjah Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Ltd., Dubai Properties LLC and Dubai Healthcare City. Separately, the Dubai Branch of FedEx Express International Inc. received a special certificate for ‘Achieving Excellence in the Leadership Criteria.’

The winners of the Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme included Associated Constructions & Investments Co LLC, Amana Steel Buildings Contracting Co. LLC, DAMAS LLC, Joy Alukkas Jewellery LLC, Jumeirah BAB Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa, India Club, Al Jawhara Gardens Hotel — a member of S.S.Lootah Group, OTIS L.L.C, Emirates Marketing and Promotion, 3i Infotech Limited, Zulekha Hospital, National Fire Fighting Manufacturing FZCO (NAFFCO), The Kanoo Group-Power & Industrial Projects Division and Al Rostamani International Exchange.

Similarly, recipients of the Dubai Human Development Award were selected from two categories — The Dubai Human Development Award and the Dubai Human Development Appreciation Programme.
