Seiko unveils new brand identity

DUBAI - Japanese watch brand Seiko yesterday announced in Dubai the launch of a new brand identity campaign with a new collection aimed at reinforcing its position in the middle and upper middle market segment.

The new collection, comprising Arctura and Vivace, is part of Seiko’s global brand strategy that is drawn in line with the changing consumer trends and fashion market dynamics.

According to Sushil Samtani, Al Futtaim Watches’s Seiko brand manager, the revitalisation of Seiko image is being promoted through an aggressive and stylised advertising campaign that appeals to people’s sense of independence and expression of choice.

“The Arctura and Vivace exude new values and life-style appeal firmly setting Seiko as trend setter and a bearer of new standards in the Watch market,” he said.

Samtani said Al Futtaim Watches, exclusive distributor of Seiko range, recorded a sales growth of 15-20 per cent last year. Seiko, a leader in mid-market segment, accounts for a share of 25 per cent in the UAE, he said.
