SCCI to Allocate Dh1 Million for Employee Training

SHARJAH - The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced that it has earmarked Dh1 million towards training programmes in 2009 aimed at developing its human resources.

The announcement was made during an annual gathering held on Wednesday at the Sharjah Golf Club to honour the Chamber’s best-performing employees.

The ceremony is part of SCCI efforts to enhance communication between the Board of Directors as represented by the President and Chamber members; and the executive branch as represented by the Director-General and the staff.

The annual gathering reflects SCCI’s commitment to applying the highest standards of quality and excellence to promote enhanced institutional performance and support skilled employees, who are essential for the achievement of the Chamber’s development goals in various fields.

The Chamber urged its staff to see the recognition bestowed on them during the ceremony as an incentive to continuously achieve theirhighest potential.

Employees were advised to constantly strive for self-development and the acquisition of experience while participating in various initiatives to attain personal and general goals.
