The call was made during a special introductory seminar on the Sharjah Economic Excellence Awards, or SEEA, held at the Oceanic Resort and Hotel in Khorfakkan, Sharjah. The event, which is one of a series of orientation seminars, was created to help give the business sector of Sharjah’s eastern region a better understanding of the SEEA’s vision and to help promote more participation from local business units.

Present during the event were Khalid Bin Butti Bin Obaid, SCCI Assistant Director-General for Membership & Branches Affairs; Khalel Mohammad Al Mansouri, SCCI Branch Manager-Khorfakkan; and Abdul Aziz Shattaf, SCCI Follow-Up Officer. Also present during the event were representatives of Khorfakkan’s business sector. SEEA 2009 is held in line with SCCI’s continuous efforts to encourage the business sector to adopt and implement best practices that can improve its products and services and help showcase Sharjah as an ideal venue for investment opportunities in the Middle East. —business@khaleejtimes.com
