S. Arabia's investment in Syria over $500 million
DAMASCUS — Chairman of the Saudi-Syrian Businessmen Council Basel Al-Ghalayini yesterday said, the major Saudi investments in the country total over $500 million.
The Syrian News Agency (Sana) quoted him as saying that the Saudi investments will significantly hike through placing of further investments in the market in the near future, based on strenuous efforts made by the businessmen council to activate the entry of Saudi investors to the country by informing them on the opportunities and facilities available for investors.
He said the Saudi investors will have a significant presence in the market in the aftermath of the new laws and legislations promulgated by the Syrian government to lure investors in the tourism, industrial and realty spheres in particular.
