Majid Al Futtaim in talks to launch new community

Majid Al Futtaim has announced plans to develop a new, mixed-use community in Dubai. The community is set to become the company's flagship lifestyle destination in the emirate and will be located in a key residential growth corridor.

The development will also feature Majid Al Futtaim's retail, leisure and entertainment facilities. The group is in talks with global and regional contractors with plans to unveil the master plan in H1 2018.

Hawazen Esber, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim - communities, said: "the flagship mixed-use community will redefine the living experience in Dubai's evolving and highly competitive real estate market. The latest community will feature best-in-class offerings from across the Majid Al Futtaim portfolio."

Majid Al Futtaim also announced updates to existing projects across the region. Al Zahia, a residential community in Sharjah, announced plans to launch the second release in its third neighbourhood, Al Lilac, this month. The release will comprise 61 four and five-bedroom villas.

Majid Al Futtaim also announced that construction of the Dh2.6 billion City Centre Al Zahia is on track for opening in late 2020.
