Pacific Controls to invest Dh50m in Techno Park

DUBAI - Pacific Control Systems LLC, the Middle East subsidiary of the Sydney-based Pacific Control Systems, said it would be investing over Dh50 million in infrastructure development at Techno Park, Dubai, where it is setting up its new headquarters.

Dilip Rahulan, Chairman and CEO of Pacific Controls, said the setting up of the global engineering giant's regional headquarters in Dubai was in line with the group's aggressive foray into the Gulf where the construction sector is witnessing a spectacular growth.

At the Techno Park, Dubai, Pacific Controls' new headquarters will be a state-of-the-art comprehensive facility incorporating a totally vertical enterprise with research, development, manufacturing and 24-hour monitoring capability.

Techno Park Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Ahmed Ali Qurashi, who signed the agreement with Dilip Rahulan, said: "Dubai continues to ensure suitable environment for companies who seek to develop their business, and Techno Park in Dubai, is the distinguished place for these kind of businesses."

Techno Park, Dubai, established by the Government of Dubai, is designed to be a world-class industrial complex and a centre for industry and hi-tech manufacturing for local and international companies.

Rahulan said Pacific Controls would take advantage of the excellent incentives and facilities offered at the the 20,000 sq metre Techno Park, Dubai, and would invest Dh50 million in infrastructure development.

Established in 1984 in Sydney, Pacific Control Systems, has a presence in the Middle East in Kuwait since 1992 and has implemented more than 2500 integration projects in the region.

In the UAE, Pacific Controls' web-enabled remote monitoring system has been installed in hundreds of government buildings. "This has revolutionised facilities management with its low cost technology, engineering capability, ease of use, flexibility, security and scalability. We have successfully implemented large prestigious automation projects like the 21st Century Tower, the Shangri-La Hotel, HSBC bank at the Internet city, Tecom Buildings in Internet city, Academic buildings in Sharjah University, oil platform controls, remote GSM shelter monitoring and control systems in over 900 locations in the Middle East," Rahulan said.

"Pacific Controls has also launched a state of the art Web-enabled home automation system and has entered into a joint venture agreement with Sahm Technologies to offer e-home solutions to Emaar properties," he said.
