National Economy Minister Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, who signed the accord with Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng, Brunei’s Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, here on Monday, said it would define the legal framework for bilateral trade relations and pave the way for more cooperation between private and public sectors in the two countries.

The latest deal brings the number of such agreements that Oman has signed with other countries to 27. Macki said several more were planned in the coming months. The two ministers discussed possibilities of joint venture projects, especially in the tourism, industry and energy sectors.
