Officials from both UAE and Turkey were present at the meeting.

Bilateral trade exchange between the two countries surged by 400 per cent from 2002 to 2007 to reach a total of $3.7 billion last year, compared to $700 million in 2002. The two countries are interested in raising the level of bilateral trade between them to reach a target of $10 billion in the next few years.
