New Year break for markets

The Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has announced Wednesday, January 1, 2014 as a holiday for the financial markets and Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) to mark the New Year.

Trading will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2014, the SCA said in a statement.

The SCA also congratulated The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and their Highnesses, the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, by wishing them good health.
