New specifications regime introduced
ABU DHABI - The Emirates Specifications and Measurement Authority has introduced a new specifications regime. The new system is part of a wider national strategy to create a better comprehensive quality assurance policy, said Dr Rashid bin Fad, deputy director general of the authority.
It will create a better infrastructure for quality control and evaluation, said Fahd, adding that the move will boost the competitiveness of the local firms. National firms will boost their competitive edge internationally as they will gain confidence of the global markets, he added.
