New member firm joins BDO international

DUBAI — BDO International, a worldwide network of public accounting firms has announced the appointment of a new BDO member firm in Panama with effect from January 15. The new firm will be known as BDO Bustamante & Bustamante.

Until recently a correspondent firm for a smaller network, BDO Bustamante & Bustamante was founded by two brothers Alfonso and Ruben in 1987. A third partner, Ladia Aquilera, completes the trio heading a firm of more than 10 professionals and support staff.

The firm has positioned itself as fourth in Panama's national ranking, with a service emphasis on audit, as well as tax, outsourcing and other specialists advisory activities. It current client portfolio numbers more than 400, including financial institutions and public sector entities in Panama itself, as well as a number operating in several Central and South American countries.
