New medical simulation training centre launched

DUBAI - Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders announced the launch of National Medical Simulation Centre for Training and Research which will focus on health and professional skills development by using virtual reality technology, said Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO, Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment at a Press conference yesterday.

He said: “Since its inception the Establishment has become quite selective in terms of funding projects, we have been quite open in the begining to feel the market impulse, but now we select the strategic projects that serve education, medical and industrial sectors. We try our best to encourage new initiatives in business as directed by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid, Chairman of the Establishment.

The Establishment supports all creative projects based on effective business plans, which will eventually contribute to the economic development and growth of the nation, added Al Janahi.

He said: “It is essential for prospective entrepreneurs whether working with the Establishment or independently to study the markets before initiating any project, and conduct a thorough feasibility study for their projects.”

Dr Adel Al Shamari, Founder and Chairman of Emirates World Heart, said: “The National Medical Centre is an ultra modern facility, fully equipped with high quality technology, instrumentation and the latest in computer technology required for training physicians, nurses, technicians and allied personnel who are working in medical emergency.”

He said: “Courses are conducted by a faculty of high qualified instructors, and composed of theory and practical and demonstrations employing videos and hands-on training,”

“The NMC will bring into practice a new breed of medical simulators that have been developed as a bridge between the lecture room theory and everyday world of clinical practice,” Al Shamari said. “These unique facilities will allow healthcare professionals to simulate the effects of new drugs and treatments in a realistic and interactive environment without exposing the patient to any risk,” he added.

The simulation facilities can be used to both train and examine medical practitioners, they will thus assist in judging job per formance at various levels of health care workers, said Al Shamari.

“The main objective is to create a strong world specialists trainers who would be able to train others in the future,” added Al Shamari.

“Our thanks to the tremendous support that was provided by Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment to overcome obstacles and make turns our dreams to reality,” added Al Shamari.
