With strong demand from major vertcials such as oil and gas, telecoms and real estate the total value of the Saudi Arabian IT market is forecast to hit $5 billion per annum by 2012, Netgear said in information made available to Khaleej Times here last week.

The deal between Netgear and ICC outlines a plan to push solutions including wireless VPN firewalls to large accounts and other kit aimed at SMBs. As a value-added partner, ICC will look to highlight the strength of Netgear products.

“As we continue to maintain a leading position in the Saudi market, we recognise the importance of establishing strong alliances with leading IT companies such as ICC,” commented Ahmad Zeidan, channel sales manager at Netgear Middle East.

“This partnership with Netgear will make available technologically-driven solutions to KSA’s most important industries, which will help them maximise the opportunities within this booming market,” said Dr Basheer Al Jabri, president at ICC Group

“While providing high-end solutions to multinational corporations, we will also bring forward Netgear’s products to small to medium businesses. As the heart of the Kingdom’s trading community, we want to provide them with the tools to ensure that they benefit from innovations that can help increase their productivity,” he added.
