NBD department gets ISO 9001:2000
DUBAI - The Group Audit Department at the National Bank of Dubai has achieved ISO 9001:2000 Certification.
The Det Norske Veritas Management System Certificate has been awarded to NBD's Group Audit team in recognition of the Quality Management System they have established to ensure a common sense approach to management of the audit function. Achieving such a certification places the department on par with audit functions at the world's leading banks.
Alan Maitland Smith, head of the Group Audit, the dedication and hard work of the entire team was a major contributory factor in achieving ISO 9001:2000 certification.
"Receiving this certification is further testimony to the bank's continuous efforts and commitment to provide quality banking services and products, and maintain a leading position in the region's banking industry".
The Group Audit team comprises nine operational auditors and three IT auditors, as well as two national trainee auditors.
