Nakheel takes part in Waterfront 2005

DUBAI — Nakheel, one of the leading property developers in the UAE participated at the two-day conference, Waterfront 2005 which took place at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai. The representatives from Nakheel, the organisation behind many of Dubai's Waterfront developments presented at two key sessions.

The conference highlighted the most important and contemporary issues in waterfront development. Delegates from around the world travelled to Dubai to meet with partners, competitors, suppliers and investors to discuss this thriving industry which, as well as leading to unprecedented increases in domestic and overseas property ownership, is having a massive effect on tourism around the world.

Khaled Al Huraimel, senior manager, Sales and Marketing, discussed Nakheel's Waterfront projects at the session: 'Focus on Major New Regional Developments' whilst Saeed Ahmed Saeed, managing director, Projects, discussed the background to, challenges faced, and philosophy behind land reclamation on such projects in the session on 'Quality and Sustainability'.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, executive chairman, Nakheel said. “Dubai is leading the way in creating innovative, ambitious and ground-breaking waterfront developments, and Nakheel is central to this. Our projects like The Palm, The World and the recently announced Dubai Waterfront Company have redefined the industry.’’

The newly launched Dubai Waterfront, which is the largest waterfront development in the world, is also part of Nakheel's portfolio.
