GDRFA centres across the emirate will be closed for the Prophet's birthday, the authority announced
Abdul Rahim Al-Zarooni, Director, IS Department, Ministry of Finance & Industry said: “The ministry is run in a very efficient manner, much like a large private sector organisation; therefore, we demand network optimisation and cost reduction to maintain a high level of productivity.”
The federal ministry is responsible for implementing all fiscal, monetary, and industrial policies for the overall financial development of the UAE. The ministry will deploy Peribit 'Sequence Reducer' devices that have proven to remove up to 70 per cent of the overall Network traffic traversing the ministry's Abu Dhabi and Dubai locations.
The reduction in redundant network traffic is expected to substantially improve the systems capacity and increased application performance, especially for database and storage data, and also results in reduced communications costs .
“With the ministry's remote locations across the seven Emirates, coupled with our network connections to other UAE federal ministries, we've faced both application performance challenges and rising monthly communications bills. Peribit's solution solved both problems in one step.” he said.
The second phase of the project will see the deployment of Peribit 'Sequence Reducer' devices in each remote ministry office, and all other federal government offices.
