Ministry of Finance, DED Sign MoU

ABU DHABI — The Ministry of Finance, or MoF, and the Department of Economic Development, or DED, in Abu Dhabi, have signed an MoU to exchange financial strategies, plans and legislations devised by them.

The MoU will help in the exchange of economic strategies and policies. In addition, both departments will cooperate in formulating, developing financial policies, before submitting it to the authorities for approval.

The agreement will also help in developing federal economic laws and legislations, in addition to exchanging information and publications issued by the two sides.

They agreed to develop an annual work plan for the joint activities, in addition to organising meetings to follow up the implementation and evaluation of programmes.

This exchange will be done before submitting plans and strategies to competent authorities for review, approval and implementation, a Press release said.

The MoU was signed at the department’s headquarters by Younis Haji Al Khoori, Director-General of the Ministry of Finance and Mohammed Omar Abdullah, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi. haseebhaider@khaleejtimes.com
