The Millennium Corniche Hotel in Abu Dhabi has been awarded the Investors in People (IIP) accreditation, a standard that demonstrates the hotel's commitment to realise the potential of its people. Investors in People (IIP) is UK's leading accreditation introduced in 1991 for business improvement through people management, and provides a wealth of resources for businesses to innovate, improve and grow, with a focus on 'good people make great businesses'.
Says Paul Devoy, Head of IIP: "Achieving the IIP standard is something that any organisation should be truly proud of. Working with IIP inspires and enables leaders, managers and employees at all levels to build their skills; improves performance, and helps companies achieve their potential. We would like to congratulate Millennium Corniche Hotel on this achievement."
The benefits of IIP are numerous. It results in stronger team spirit among staff; strengthens the effectiveness of line management throughout the organisation; reduces staff turnover; ensures the hotel has a clear thoughtful set of goals and strategy for achieving results; provides more professional productive staff reviews allied to business performance; and on top of all, it increases profit.
David Dale, Operations Director of IIP International, adds, "We believe that good people make a great business and as a proven organisational development framework, IIP is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. With their accreditation success, Millennium Corniche Hotel is certainly working to realise their people potential."
"We are so proud and delighted with this prestigious accreditation, which is recognised across the world in over 75 different countries as a mark of excellence," says James Wilson, General Manager Millennium Corniche Hotel.
"It is also working vis-à-vis with the government bodies in Abu Dhabi where this achievement will continue to help us develop our management practices with the commitment from all our operations to reflect positively not only in our group but on the society as a whole. It is adapted to today's workforce requirements and enables us to focus on highlighting our people and strengthen the development of our hotel," elaborates Wilson.
IIP is the hotel's fifth international quality award this year alongside four ISO accreditations.
