“These are our projects in the pipeline,” he said. “We are concentrating on developing residential units because of the increasing demand from the growing population, especially of migrant workers,” he said.

Niazi stated this on Saturday night during the launch of Midex’s first UAE project — the Dh300-million Emirates City Tower, a 47-storey residential project in Ajman. Works on the project will start from May until 2011.

The tower will have 736 apartments composed of one, two or three bedrooms which are available for a five-year payment plan with 10-15 per cent down payment. It will rise on a 50-sq m plot in The Emirates City, a Dh15-billion master development project by R Holdings, by the main Emirates Road highway.
