The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of MCB Bank, declared a total payout of Rs25 per unit comprising of cash dividend of Rs20 per unit and bonus dividend of Rs5 per unit for MCB Dynamic Stock Fund and a bonus dividend of Rs3.3799 per unit for MCB Dynamic Cash Fund.
MCB Dynamic Stock Fund (DSF) was launched in February this year. The fund has delivered superior returns as compared to most funds in similar category and has outperformed its benchmark (KSE-30) by approximately 11 per cent during the period.
The Rs25 per unit payout represents 25 per cent dividend payout on the initial investment during the four month period. An investor holding 100 units as of June 30, 2006 would receive Rs2,000 in cash plus 4.6745 bonus units at the ex-dividend price of Rs106.9639 per unit.
The Board of MCB AMC also declared Rs3.3799 per unit dividend in the form of bonus units at the ex-dividend price of Rs100 per unit for MCB Dynamic Cash fund (DCF). MCB DCF is one of the largest fixed income funds in the domestic market and its size has grown to over Rs9.1 billion during the short period of four months.
