Many foreign firms apply for cancellation of Dubai licence

ABU DHABI - several foreign companies operating in the country have applied for the cancellation of their licences for operating in Dubai, according to an announcement made by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

However, the ministry did not give out the reasons for such a move.

Marriot Ownership Resorts Company, Phillip Morris Services Company, Light Buildings Company (Super -X), Egyptian Cement & Concrete Works, Electrolux Store Shack are the companies that have filed for the cancellation of their Dubai branch licences.

The Ministry said that there request complies with the stipulation of the Federal Law number (8), 1984 pertaining to commercial companies.
