Majid Al Futtaim Forms New Consumer Finance Company; Launches Credit Card

The company is a joint venture between JCB International - JCB is Japan’s only international credit card brand and major credit-card issuer, ORIX Corporation - an integrated financial services group based in Japan, and Majid Al Futtaim Group - the Middle East’s leading leisure, retail and entertainment company.

Majid Al Futtaim JCB Finance is the first joint venture JCB has signed outside Japan and has the exclusive rights hereafter to issue JCB cards across 19 Middle East and North African countries.

The company is initially focusing on providing a new personal finance product for UAE consumers which offers more choice - by combining the retail, entertainment and leisure power of Majid Al Futtaim Group and JCB’s global credit card experience. Ahmed bin Brek, Chairman of Majid Al Futtaim JCB Finance said; “The combination of three great companies coming together under the Majid Al Futtaim JCB Finance joint-venture will enable us to deliver a new approach to personal finance and better value to consumers. The fact that we have the rights to JCB cards will enable us to provide a new payment brand to the region’s consumers.”

Meanwhile Majid Al Futtaim JCB Finance launched a new credit card ‘Najm JCB Credit Card’. The Card comes from Majid Al Futtaim JCB Finance, a new joint venture. The card offers savings up to 50 per cent off at Carrefour and up to 25 per cent off at popular fashion stores such as Mexx (fashion for men & women) XX by Mexx (women’s fashion), Lucky Brand Jeans (casual fashion for men & women), Liz Claiborne (fashion, bed & bath accessories, & jewelry) Monet & Co (jewelry), Fat Face (casual fashion for men, women & children) and Jane Norman (women’s fashion & accessories).

Further the card offers 25 per cent off at Ski Dubai and 20 per cent off at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates .
